This Privacy Policy explains how HFM Trading Tracker (“the App”, “we”,
“our”, or “us”) accesses, stores, uses, discloses, and otherwise
processes information when you use the App.
HFM Trading Tracker is a personal trading journal and finance utility
designed to help users record trading profits and losses, track trading
transactions, save trade notes, review trading performance reports, and
monitor trading history. The App does not provide brokerage services,
investment advice, financial recommendations, trading signals, portfolio
management, payment processing, or operate as a broker, bank, exchange,
or financial institution.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
HFM Trading Tracker is a trade-recording and tracking tool only. The App
does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, trading
signals, portfolio management, or brokerage services. Users are solely
responsible for their own trading and investment decisions.
This Privacy Policy is intended to help you understand:
- what information the App handles;
- how that information is used;
- whether that information is shared with third parties;
- how long information is retained;
- how you can manage or delete your data; and
- how advertising services used by the App may process information.
1. Who We Are
For the first-party data practices described in this Privacy Policy, the
developer and publisher responsible for the App is:
Safinah Mawadda
Email: safinahmawadda@gmail.com
If you have any privacy-related questions, requests, or complaints, you
may contact us using the email address above.
2. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Android mobile application HFM
Trading Tracker, including its trading transaction records, profit and
loss tracking features, trading history, account and pair tracking
features, notes, performance reports, settings, and advertising
integrations.
This Privacy Policy does not govern the privacy practices of third-party
services, advertisers, SDK providers, device manufacturers, app stores,
operating systems, or external websites except to the extent we describe
their involvement in the App. Those third parties may apply their own
privacy policies and terms.
3. Short Summary
In short:
- You do not need to create an account to use the App.
- We do not operate a first-party cloud backend to store your trading
records or notes.
- Trading-related information you enter into the App is designed to be
stored locally on your device.
- The App may request notification permission only if a
notification-related feature is enabled or introduced.
- The App uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner,
interstitial, and/or native ads where enabled in the current App
version.
- Google AdMob and related Google services may automatically collect
certain device and usage data for advertising, measurement,
analytics, and fraud prevention.
- We do not sell your personal information.
4. Information We Access, Collect, or Process
4.1 Information you manually enter into the App
The App allows you to manually enter and save trading-related
information, which may include:
- transaction or trade name;
- trading pair, such as XAUUSD or BTCUSD;
- profit amount;
- loss amount;
- transaction date;
- trading method, such as Market Execution, Buy Stop, or Sell Stop;
- account name;
- profit or loss source;
- notes or remarks;
- report-related records or calculated results; and
- timestamps associated with saved records.
This information is used only to provide the App’s core features, such
as recording transactions, tracking profit and loss, displaying trading
history, organizing records by pair or account, and generating
performance reports.
4.2 Locally stored app preferences
The App may store certain preference data locally on your device, such
as:
- whether dark mode is enabled;
- whether available notification features are enabled; and
- whether onboarding has been completed.
These settings help the App remember your choices and provide a more
consistent user experience.
4.3 Reminder and notification-related processing
If a notification or reminder feature is available in the version of the
App you use and you choose to enable it, the App may request the Android
POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission.
If that permission is granted, the App may process locally stored
information on your device in order to determine whether a notification
should be shown. Where implemented as a local feature, notification
checks are performed locally using information stored in the App. We do
not maintain a first-party remote reminder server for this feature.
4.4 Advertising and SDK-related information
The App may use Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to display ads.
Based on Google’s official developer documentation, the Google Mobile
Ads SDK may automatically collect and share certain categories of
information, including:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- user product interactions, such as app launches, ad impressions,
taps, and video views;
- diagnostic information, such as information related to app and SDK
performance; and
- device and account identifiers, including the Android advertising
ID, app set ID, and other identifiers where applicable.
Depending on your device settings, region, consent status, and
applicable law, ads shown in the App may be personalized or
non-personalized. Even when ads are non-personalized, Google or its
partners may still process certain information for ad delivery,
frequency capping, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention.
4.5 Information you provide if you contact us
If you contact us directly by email, we may receive and process the
information you choose to provide, such as:
- your name or nickname;
- your email address;
- the contents of your message;
- screenshots or attachments you voluntarily send; and
- any other information you choose to include.
We use this information only to respond to you, handle your request,
troubleshoot issues, maintain support records, or comply with legal
obligations.
4.6 Information we do not intentionally collect through first-party features
Except as described in this Privacy Policy, the App does not
intentionally request or collect the following through its own
first-party features:
- precise GPS location;
- contacts or address book data;
- call logs;
- SMS or MMS content;
- microphone audio;
- camera photos or videos;
- photo gallery or file-library content;
- health data;
- biometric identifiers;
- government-issued identification numbers;
- banking credentials;
- payment card numbers; or
- passwords for financial or trading accounts.
5. How We Use Information
We use information handled by the App for the following purposes:
- to record and display trading transactions;
- to record and display profit and loss;
- to organize trading records by pair, account, or trading method;
- to save and display trading notes and transaction history locally on
your device;
- to calculate and display performance report information based on
records you enter;
- to remember your preferences and settings;
- to operate, maintain, debug, secure, and improve the App;
- to protect against misuse, fraud, abuse, technical failures, and
unauthorized activity;
- to display banner, interstitial, and/or native ads using Google
AdMob where enabled; and
- to respond to your messages or support requests.
We do not use the trading records you enter into the App to build our
own remote advertising profile about you.
6. Legal Bases Where Applicable
Depending on where you are located and to the extent applicable privacy
law requires a legal basis, we may rely on one or more of the following:
- your consent, such as when you enable notifications or where consent
is required for certain advertising practices;
- performance of a service requested by you, such as storing and
displaying your locally saved trading records;
- our legitimate interests, such as operating, securing, maintaining,
monetizing, and improving the App; and
- compliance with legal obligations, where we must keep records or
respond to lawful requests.
This section is provided for general transparency and is not intended as
jurisdiction-specific legal advice.
7. How Information Is Shared
7.1 No sale of personal information
We do not sell your personal information or your personal and sensitive
user data.
7.2 Sharing with advertising providers and related partners
When ads are requested, loaded, displayed, clicked, or measured, certain
information may be automatically collected, processed, transmitted, or
shared by Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK and its partners under
their own privacy terms.
This may include information used for:
- ad delivery;
- ad personalization where permitted;
- ad measurement and reporting;
- analytics and diagnostics; and
- fraud and abuse prevention.
7.3 Sharing with platform and service providers
The App operates within the Android and Google Play ecosystem and may
necessarily interact with platform services, Google Play services, and
SDK providers in order to function correctly, display ads, request
permissions, or provide available app features.
7.4 Legal compliance and protection
We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is required by law,
regulation, court order, legal process, or valid governmental request,
or if disclosure is reasonably necessary to:
- enforce our rights;
- protect users, the public, or the App;
- investigate suspected fraud or abuse; or
- address security or technical issues.
7.5 Business transfer
If the App, its assets, or the developer business is involved in a
merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, dissolution, bankruptcy,
sale of assets, or similar transaction, information covered by this
Privacy Policy may be transferred as part of that process, subject to
applicable law.
8. Permissions and Device Capabilities
The App may use or request access to certain permissions and
capabilities, including:
8.1 Notification permission
The App may request POST_NOTIFICATIONS if a notification feature is
available and you choose to enable it.
If you deny or revoke this permission, notification features may not
work, but the rest of the App should generally remain usable.
8.2 Internet and network access
The App and integrated advertising SDKs may use network access to load
ads, communicate with service providers, and support normal app
operation where required by Android and third-party SDKs.
8.3 Background processing for notifications
If notification scheduling is implemented in the current App version,
the App may use Android background scheduling tools to determine when
locally stored information should trigger a local notification on your
device.
9. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion
9.1 Local storage of trading-related records
Trading transactions, profit and loss records, trading notes,
report-related history, and many core App records are designed to be
stored locally on your device using on-device storage.
We do not currently provide a first-party cloud sync or account-based
remote storage service for this information.
9.2 How long local data is retained
Local data is generally retained until:
- you delete specific transactions or records;
- you use an in-app option to clear app data or clear saved records;
- you clear the App’s storage from Android settings;
- you uninstall the App;
- your device is reset; or
- local data is removed because of corruption, device failure, or
another technical event beyond our control.
9.3 Preference retention
Preference data, such as dark mode, onboarding state, and available
notification settings, is stored locally and is retained until you
change the setting, clear App storage, or uninstall the App.
9.4 Advertising-related retention
Advertising-related information handled by Google AdMob, Google, or
advertising partners is retained according to those third parties’ own
policies, settings, technical practices, and legal obligations, not
according to the App’s local retention rules.
9.5 Contact-related retention
If you contact us by email, we may retain your message and related
correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain
support records, protect our rights, or comply with legal obligations.
9.6 Important note about local storage
Because the App relies on local storage for core trading records, you
should not treat it as your only permanent archive of important
financial or trading information. A device issue, app reinstall, storage
clear, migration failure, or user action may remove locally stored
records.
10. Security
We use measures that are reasonable in light of the App’s design and
functionality to reduce privacy and security risks.
Important security facts about this App include:
- trading-related records are intended to remain on your device rather
than being uploaded to our own remote server;
- the App does not operate a first-party account database for your
trading records, profit and loss history, or notes;
- Android backup by the App is disabled in the current App
configuration, if this configuration remains unchanged; and
- Google states that data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is
encrypted in transit using TLS.
However, no software, local storage system, internet transmission, or
mobile-device security measure can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If
someone gains unauthorized access to your device, your unlocked screen,
a backup, or your email account, information may be exposed outside our
control.
11. International Data Transfers
Your trading records, profit and loss history, notes, and related local
records are intended to remain stored locally on your device.
However, because the App may use Google AdMob and related Google
services, some advertising-related information may be processed on
servers located in countries other than your own, depending on Google’s
infrastructure and service operations.
If you contact us by email, your message may also be transmitted or
stored through email providers or service infrastructure that may
operate internationally.
12. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have privacy rights such as the
right to access, correct, delete, object to, restrict, or request
portability of certain personal data, and the right to withdraw consent
where consent is the basis of processing.
Because the App generally stores your trading records locally on your
own device rather than on our own server, many practical privacy
controls can be exercised directly by you, including:
- editing or deleting saved transactions;
- deleting saved profit or loss records where supported;
- using in-app clear-data functionality where available;
- clearing the App’s storage from Android settings;
- uninstalling the App;
- enabling or disabling available notification features;
- granting or revoking notification permission;
- resetting or deleting your Android advertising ID through Android
settings where available; and
- adjusting ad personalization or Google ad settings where supported.
If you contact us with a privacy request, we will review it in light of
applicable law and the technical reality of the App’s local-storage
design. In some cases, we may not be able to retrieve, export, or alter
data that we do not store on our own systems.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a regulator or
data protection authority in your country or region, where applicable.
13. Account Creation and Account Deletion
The App does not require you to create a user account with us.
Because there is no first-party account system, there is no separate
account-deletion workflow. To remove most App data, you can:
- delete transactions or records within the App where supported;
- clear the App’s storage from Android settings; or
- uninstall the App.
14. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age
required in the relevant jurisdiction, and it is not designed as a
child-directed service.
Because the App relates to personal finance and trading records and may
display third-party advertising, it should only be used by individuals
who are legally allowed to use such services under applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in a way
that should be removed under applicable law, please contact us.
15. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with or rely on third-party services, including:
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK;
- Google Play services;
- Android platform services; and
- email or link-handling services if you choose to contact us or open
external links.
These third parties may independently collect, use, store, or share
information under their own policies. We encourage you to review their
privacy notices carefully.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:
- changes to the App’s features or data practices;
- changes to advertising, SDK, or platform integrations;
- legal or regulatory requirements; or
- security, operational, or business developments.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top
of this Privacy Policy. Material changes may also be reflected through
the App, the app listing, or another appropriate notice where reasonably
required.

18. Important Note
This Privacy Policy is provided for transparency and compliance
purposes. It is not legal advice. Privacy, advertising, and
consumer-protection laws vary by country and may impose additional
requirements depending on where the App is offered and how it is used.
If you need legal assurance for publication or regulatory review, you
should consider consulting a qualified legal professional.
