Safinah Dev ("we," "us," or "our") built the NoteUp - Modern Notepad app ("the App") as an Ad-Supported app. This SERVICE is provided by Safinah Dev at no cost and is intended for use as is.


This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.


By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.


1. Data Collection and Storage (Local Only)

NoteUp is an offline-first application. All your personal data, including text notes, checklists, backup files, and app-lock passwords (PINs), are securely stored locally on your device.


We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of your notes or personal data on external servers. Since your data is stored locally, uninstalling the app or clearing its data will permanently delete your notes unless you have manually created a backup.


2. Third-Party Services and Advertising

While we do not collect your personal data, the App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.


Google AdMob We use Google AdMob to display advertisements (Banner and Interstitial ads) within the App. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), IP addresses, and other usage data to provide personalized or non-personalized ads.

3. App Permissions

To function properly, NoteUp requires the following device permissions:


Storage Access (Read/Write): Required only if you choose to use the "Export Notes" or "Import Notes" features to save or restore a JSON backup file to your device's local storage.

Internet Access: Required solely to load and display advertisements via Google AdMob.

Alarms & Notifications: Required to set up and trigger local time-based reminders for your notes. We do not track your schedule or send push notifications from remote servers.

4. Security

We value your trust in providing us your personal information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. The App provides a local PIN lock feature using secure hashing (SHA-256) to protect your notes from unauthorized physical access to your device. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.


5. Links to Other Sites

This Service may contain advertisements that link to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.


6. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
