About Me
Hi there! I’m Safinah Mawadda, an aspiring Android developer from East Java, Indonesia. Welcome to my little corner of the internet — I’m so glad you’re here!
If you’re reading this, you’re probably curious about who’s behind this blog. Well, I’m just a regular person with a big dream: to build Android apps that people actually find useful. Right now, I’m still at the very beginning of that journey. I haven’t published any apps on the Google Play Store yet, but I’m working toward that goal one line of code at a time.
My love for technology started when I was a student. I was always fascinated by how a small app on a phone could solve big, everyday problems. That curiosity turned into action when I installed Android Studio for the first time. I still remember the mix of excitement and complete confusion looking at that first “Hello World” project. Since then, my days have been filled with Kotlin tutorials, YouTube crash courses, Stack Overflow deep-dives, and that amazing feeling when a stubborn bug finally gets fixed at 1 AM.
So, what am I doing exactly? Currently, I’m teaching myself Android development from the ground up using Kotlin and Java. I build small personal projects just for practice — simple to-do lists, basic calculators, and UI experiments. None of them are ready for the Play Store yet. They’re messy, they’re buggy, and they’re perfect for learning. Every error message is a lesson, and every small app I finish gives me a little more confidence.
I started this blog for a few reasons. First, to document my learning journey. They say the best way to learn is to teach, so writing about what I learn helps it stick in my brain. Second, to stay accountable. Putting my goals out here in public makes me more likely to actually do the work. And third, to connect. Learning to code can feel lonely sometimes. If you’re another beginner, a student, or someone thinking about getting into Android development, I want you to know you’re not alone. We can figure this out together.
When I’m not wrestling with code, I’m probably drinking tea, reading about new tech, or planning what my very first app will be. I don’t have all the answers yet, but I do have a lot of curiosity and the willingness to keep showing up.
My short-term goal is simple: launch my first real app on Google Play. My long-term dream is to become a developer who builds apps that are not just functional, but also beautiful, safe, and genuinely helpful for people.
Thank you for stopping by and reading my story. Whether you’re here for the coding content, to follow along with my progress, or just stumbled here by accident — you’re welcome here. Feel free to say hi in the comments or reach out. Let’s learn and build amazing things together!
